Patrick Dixon is the Assistant Athletic Director for Sports Performance at Loyola Marymount University. At LMU, he oversees the training of 400 athletes and works directly with Men’s Basketball, Women’s Volleyball, and Softball. Prior to LMU, he was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at St John’s University in Queens, NY, working with Men’s and Women’s Basketball from 2007-2014 and an Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of California, Berkeley from 2004-2007. He started coaching at the University of Connecticut where he was a member of the Track and Field team and completed his Bachelors in Exercise Science and Masters in Kinesiology.
Beyond the practical application in the field, Mr. Dixon also brings experience as a sample collection specialist for Aegis Labs and their work for NASCAR and has been published in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research. He holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) and National Academy of Sports Medicine (Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist). He is currently pursuing his MBA at LMU.
