Triathlete Heather Jackson opened May with a victory at the prestigious Wildflower Experience for the fourth time in a winning margin of over four minutes. She covered the 1.2-mile swim-56-mile bike-13.1-mile run in 4:34:45. “I knew this was going to be a tough one. I think this is one of the hardest races out there and it just confirmed it. It’s been a few years since I’ve done it (Wildflower) and it was so hard all day. I mean, it’s nonstop, up and down hills on the bike and run. So I knew it would be hard and it was. I was just trying to push as hard as I could out there all day.”
Supercross/Motocross rider Zach Osborne won his third consecutive 250 title when he celebrated the win at the AMA Supercross 250SX East Championship. His championship run includes titles indoors and outdoors and will make history if he successfully defends his 250MX title later this year. He would be the first rider ever to win both the supercross and motocross championships two years in a row. Keep it going, Zach!
